No more gushing about Walmart.com

I’ve been happily telling everyone I know how good Walmart.com is and how nice site to store shipping is and how nice the customer service is because they were so nice and offered to ship the item to my home for free and price match the old price.

The online status of my old order says – “Your order was canceled on 02/09/2009, due to a delivery error.
You have been refunded.” I assumed that I was refunded. But there was nothing on my card. So I called up and the friendly agent informed me that it is the store that processes the refund and it takes a few business days. I waited two days until the 11th and called again because there was no refund. This time the customer service rep called the store and talked to a Joyce who made the refund on the 11th. I was told to wait 10 business days for the refund to show up on my card.

Today is March 2 and there is still no sign of the refund. I called Walmart customer service again and the agent called up the store again and Joyce was away because of the weather. I’m supposed to get a call from Joyce tomorrow. If not, I’m fed up and will dispute this with the CC company.

Update: I got a call from Joyce at the store who says that the store is not responsible for refunds of Walmart.com orders

I called Walmart.com again and the rep said she will forward to a manager but instead just hung up. I am disputing this charge now.
